The Mistborn Trilogy Box Set (The Mistborn, Heroes of the Ages, and Well of Ascension) is a great book for anyone who enjoys good fantasy and political intrigue. Brandon Sanderson is the author of this book. The author describes the world the characters live in in great detail, but what’s even more interesting is the magic that exists in this world. It’s a great series with a vast world and a deep yet familiar magic system. This is a great trilogy. It has many of the standard fantasy elements you’d expect (heroes, mentors, all-powerful evil villains, magic, etc.), but the storytelling is what sets it apart.
The second and third books are full of twists and turns, and I’m amazed at how often the author makes you think you know what’s going to happen and takes the story in a different direction. The story has so many mysteries that the characters have to speculate about, and the author does a great job of answering those questions for the reader. The magic system is unique and interesting, and the characters are well developed. Overall, each book tells a separate story that in the end comes together very well.
